About Us
What is the CBA?
- The Canadian Boaters Alliance is a non-profit volunteer organization that speaks up for recreational boaters.
- CBA helps direct and contain the people who make rules affecting boating. CBA deals with the government departments and agencies on your behalf.
- CBA helps shape boaters' image which allows us to have influence on and over the processes affecting all recreational boaters.
- CBA brings boaters together to find a balance with special interest groups that do not share our point of view, interests or goals.
Goals
- Promote and protect the interests of recreational boaters in Ontario.
- Protect the environment to ensure the continued use of the waterways by everyone.
- Actively promote boating safety.
- Ensure that the use of waterways remains open and accessible to everyone and will be preserved as a heritage for future generations.
- Lobby the political system at the federal, provincial and municipal levels.
How We Achieve Our Goals
- Through timely information to our members.
- Through representation of a large constituency with the credibility to be consulted on issues impacting our members.
- Through an aggressive promotional program.
Code of Conduct
- Practice Safe Boating

- AND, a boaters paramount responsibility is the safety of passengers, crew and vessel.

Without the CBA Ontario boating could be open to undesirable changes.
